Arts for Learning has Open Call for Artists
Arts for Learning, the Indiana Affiliate of Young Audiences, is seeking applications for professional artists in the fields of, but not limited to, Visual Art, Digital Art, Music, Dance, Theater, Writing, and Storytelling to work in various Indiana schools as Teaching Artists. We believe in using the arts to leverage learning in every classroom. Arts for Learning is looking for passionate, professional artists who are interested in learning about arts integration and open to developing effective educational programs with the help of our staff.
At this time Arts for Learning is especially interested in art related to new media, creativity in technology, programs with ethnically and culturally diverse themes, and contemporary art forms. We are also seeking arts workshops, residencies, or performances that connect to the preservation and care of the environment. Applications are due by August 24, 2012.
Applications and more information can be found on our website at www.yaindy.org.
An application information session will be at the Allen County Public Library at 1 PM on Monday, July 30, 2012.
