Visit 8 area artists at their studios during a casual self guided tour on Saturday, April 28 from 10am-6pm. The first "Rural Studio Tour" was held on May 1, 2010. It was such a hit with both the artists and our attendees that we are now on our 3rd annual event. A great variety of mediums....a printmaker, a jeweler, 2 potters, several painters, photographer, clothing and mixed media sculptures. Several of the studios will have demos and/or interactive art projects. Demos on the printing press at Shirley Hiner's. Wheel throwing demos at Kristy Jo Beber's. Raku firing at Sue Davis & Steve Vachon's (weather permitting).
Each studio will be open 10am-6pm on Saturday, April 28. It will be casual & self-guided...meaning people can visit as many studios & in any order as they wish...all on their own time.

Viewing an artists work, visiting with them and seeing where they create the work....all at once...it's a unique experience and one that our attendees have really enjoyed. People will have the chance to support local artists by picking up unique handmade gifts made by LOCAL artists during the tour.

Lisa & Paul have spent much of the last 8 years restoring their 1860 farmhouse and their studio outbuilding. Their philosophy that life is art translates in the functional found object assemblage pieces & jewelry they create for both love and money.
A stop at Liechty Buffalo Ranch, right next to Kristy Jo's studio will offer buffalo viewing, as well as buffalo meat for sale. "Beside Still Waters Greenhouse" is another great stop. A beautiful place to visit and pick up some plants for Spring. These local businesses are on the map and we thank them for their sponsorship of the tour.....which has enabled us to offer it to the public for free.
