Artlink’s popular Members’ Show will open with a public reception on Friday, July 18 at 437 East Berry Street from 7 to 9:00 p.m. This annual all-media blockbuster will fill the gallery, salon-style, with over 160 exciting pieces of artwork. The average number of pieces in an Artlink exhibition is around 65.
Also on the same evening, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art will hold its first-ever Members’ Show opening. Artists and members of both organizations, along with their family and friends, are being encouraged to attend both openings that night to view the work. Continuing the festivities, participants and the public are invited to a joint, un-hosted “after party” to be held at Hall’s Gas House on Superior. The migration to Hall’s begins at 9:00 p.m. after both venues close their doors.
“People love the Members’ Show because it gives all of our members a chance to show one of their latest creations,” said Artlink Executive Director Deb Washler of the non-juried show. “And this show levels the playing field – a student’s work can hang next to an art professor’s. The diversity of the work always amazes me. I think everyone will find something they like!”
Artlink is a not-for-profit contemporary art gallery and a funded member of Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne. Its mission is to showcase artwork of the highest quality by emerging and mid-career artists and provide educational programs for the community.

Indiana's Etsy Street Team – The INCrowd Partners With Local Church for Flood Relief
A State-Wide Group of Artisans is Promoting an On-line Sale to Assist with Flood Relief Efforts
The INCrowd is partnering with Grace Lutheran Church in Columbus, IN to assist those affected by flooding in Indiana. Each participating shop will generously donate a minimum of 10% of their sales for the month of July. A list of these shops is available at the INCrowd blog, http://indianaetsy.blogspot.com.
Grace Lutheran Church is assisting flood victims by setting up temporary shelters and donating food and clothing items to those in need. "At the moment everyone has been helped and are in temporary housing - they closed the shelter over the weekend. We will continue to take donations for quite awhile; the next phase is to help people rebuild and many did not have insurance and FEMA is not covering everything." states Carrie, Etsy shop owner of TimeandSand, who is also the director of the Care and Outreach Program at the church.
"Our membership is spread across the state of Indiana. Any part of our state that is affected by disasters - natural or otherwise - needs our support. These are our neighbors, our friends, and our families." says Kim, Etsy shop owner of ThePeachMartini.
The INCrowd is Etsy.com's Indiana Street Team, a group of artisans who sell their wares on Etsy.com. Our members are spread all across the great state of Indiana, and across all areas of the creative and artistic spectra. To support local artists and buy handmade, log on to Etsy.com and search "incrowdteam".
