Community Mural Project Unveiling
Sunday, August 6 at 2 PM
The ceremony will take place along the River Greenway between the bridge to Headwaters Park and the skate park. The mural was designed and created by local middle school students using a variety of topics (their lives, water, the Miami culture, and Fort Wayne parks).
Participating organizations: Fort Wayne Museum of Art, The Urban League, The City of Fort Wayne, and the Greenway Consortium.
Grant support provided by: Lincoln Financial Group Foundation, Foellinger Foundation, and Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne.

Call for Entries

Artlink Members' Exhibition Opens Friday
Reception, Friday, July 14, 7-9 PM.
Artwork by 134 Artlink members will be on exhibit through August 16. Each July the contemporary art gallery invites its artist members to exhibit one piece of their artwork in any medium, without a jury vote. The opening reception for this exhibition draws a large crowd of friends, relatives, Artlink members and the interested public.
Local and regional artists included in this exhibit are photographers Ellie Bogue, Cathy Rowand and Jason Swisher; painters Norman Bradley, Betty Fishman, Diane Groenert, Gwen Gutwein, Thomas Kelly, Ales and Renata Pancner and Terry Ratliff; drawings by Tom Keesee, David Seculoff and Michael W. Poorman; sculptor Sayaka Ganz; fiber artists Joel Fremion, Sue McCullough, Elberetta Souther and Lina M. Zerkle; ceramists George Morrison and Judy Wintin; wood turner Gary Travis; and jewelry artists Frederick D. Crane, Sharon Jokay and Ruth Wartell.
The members' show runs through August 16.
Dan Swartz's painting are also on display in the Hallway Gallery.

Great weather for the event. I do wish to have seen an attempt at anamorphic illusions in the style of Julian Beever. Maybe I just missed it? Hope you didn't.

Chalk Walk this Saturday & Sunday
On Main Street by the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, come see the "sidewalk" creations of area artists July 8 & 9. And the museum is free to the public both days too (and on the 12th).
Hopefully we can post the art here next week.
P.S. With a Three Rivers Festival button, the museum is FREE each day of the festival (July 8-16).
