2006 Biennial: Contemporary American Realism
The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is proud to present this unique national exhibition showcasing and celebrating artistic excellence in America. The 2006 Biennial focuses on REALISM- a laudable and timeless approach to the subject of art. Throughout the 20th century, many exciting and noteworthy artistic movements have challenged our notions of reality. The new focus for the Biennial is on Contemporary American Realism, and champions the perspective that perhaps one of the most progressive trends in art as we head into the 21st century is the increasing return to the object, and the representational.
