Faculty Exhibition at Artlink
Opening Reception: Friday, March 3, 2006 from 7-9 PM

It’s time once again for art faculty members from Indiana Purdue University Fort Wayne and the University of Saint Francis to show the community their skills. Every two years, Artlink features area art instructors in the Main Gallery. Included in the dynamic range of art disciplines this year will be Neal McDonald from USF, who will use a projection system to display computer art. Emeritus instructors invited this year include Norm Bradley, Don Kruse, Russ Oettel and Karen Thompson.

Exhibition continues through April 5, 2006. Featured in the Hallway Gallery is Art of Dance with work by Jeff Dollens, Rob Dollens, and Steve Vorderman.

Gallery hours are Tues-Sat, noon-5 p.m., Sun. 1-5 p.m., Fri. & Sat. evenings 6-9 p.m. Members free. Non-members $2 suggested donation.

Requesting Artwork for Expressions for Peace Art Sale
The Peace, Justice, and Social Concerns Task Force is sponsoring the
"Expressions for Peace Art Sale" from March 26th through April 23rd and is
calling on all area artists to donate their work for display and sale.

The art will be displayed in the Folsom Room of Plymouth Congregational UCC, 501 W. Berry Street, and will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the sale will go toward the PJSC Task Force Peace Studies Scholarship fund.

All art work will need to be finished for display and have the price for
sale noted. Sale starts Sunday, March 26th. Art should be at Plymouth by or before Saturday, March 25th. Artists need to bring the artwork in a final, displayable format along with the following information:

-Price
-Title (if there is one)
-Your name.
-Any special instructions or information we may need.

Please note: If you have any additional information you would like displayed
with the artwork (like artist bio, description of artwork, etc.) please send

Call for Artists--Indianapolis Project

Budget: $5,000 per project
Eligible Artists: Must be over 18 years of age and a resident of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, or Kentucky.


See your work as part of a temporary rotating sculpture gallery in Indianapolis. Riley Area Development and the Arts Council of Indianapolis are seeking submission of proposals for temporary site-specific public art installations for the Mass Ave Cultural District. We encourage innovative installations that may include but are not limited to environmental works, work that use ephemeral materials, and multi-sensory new media work. The goal of this program is to provide artists in Indiana and the contiguous states the opportunity to create a vibrant, unexpected experience for pedestrians through a diverse presentation of 21st century art in the public realm.

Connectivity is raised to new heights as the Fort Wayne Museum of Art works in sync with the Fourth Wave Group, the Arts United Center, Park Place Restaurant, Artlink, and the Standard Federal Group to emphasize the state of the visual arts in our city and the cultural vibrancy of our Downtown.


Designed to showcase the work of new and established local artists, this exhibit stretches from the Museum’s Atrium to galleries of the Arts United Center before crossing Main Street to the more intimate environments of the Park Place restaurant and Standard Federal lobby, to the soaring foyer of the Fourth Wave building. Each of the four venues of this exhibition are within steps of one another, providing a novel and convenient way to navigate the latest trends of the local art scene and sample the flavor of Downtown life.
